Traumwind - Joel on Design - nothing is as simple as it seems

My friend, you can put wheels on your mama but that doesn't make her a bus, and if you think you can refactor your wrongly-implemented file-copy function to make it preemptive rather than threaded as quickly as I could write that sentence, you're in deep denial.

Well. good thing that I usually 'design' things before the become code. It's what I call dream-coding. I dream up a feature and use it in my head for a while. I try to visualize me using it. And if that fails, the feature fails.
Dreaming again there ;)
Honestly, I do a lot of design because I'm to lazy, dumb or even tierd to do actual code anyway. And very often it stays at that. Design without code.
